Women Elite race info

Course

Seven cobblestone sections and eight climbs on the edge of the Flemish Ardennes: this is Dwars door Vlaanderen's recipe for women on Wednesday 29 March. With Berg Ten Houte, Côte de Trieu and the Hotond, the traditional climbs of this classic are again on the menu this year, in the middle of the sacred Flemish cycling week. Add to this the cobblestones of the Mariaborrestraat and Huisepontweg, among others, before the finale begins in and around Waregem. At the end of the race, two local laps await where Nokereberg and the stones of Herlegemstraat will play an important role. The race concludes once again on the Verbindingsweg in Waregem, where we will finally be introduced to the successor to Chiara Consonni.

Results 2022

In 2022, Dwars door Vlaanderen for women was due an anniversary edition. As is often the case in Waregem, the 10th edition ended in a sprint with a large group and this despite the barrage of attacks along the way. It was the Italian Chiara Consonni who won the sprint on the Verbindingsweg. She made it ahead of the young Belgian talent Julie De Wilde and the Swiss Elise Chabbey.
